Step 1: Visit https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login and login with your TAN. If you are not registered under the e-filing site please register through your TRACES profile.
Step 2– After Log in click- e-file > Income Tax Forms > File Income Tax Forms
Step 3– Scroll down and click ‘File Now” under Deduction of tax at source
Step 4– Click ‘Let’s Get Started’
Step 5– Select appropriate ‘Form’, ‘Financial Year’ and ‘Quarter’. Select upload type whether ‘regular’ or ‘correction’. Attach the fvu zip file.
Step 6– Click “Proceed to E-Verify”
Step 7– Confirm “Proceed to e-Verify”
Step 8– Click on “I would like to verify using OTP on mobile number registered with Aadhar”.
Step 9– Check the box ‘I agree to validate my Aadhar Details’ and click Generate Aadhar OTP. OTP will be sent to your mobile number registered with Aadhar.
Step 10– Enter the OTP and click submit. Return will be submitted.
How to download the acknowledgment of Return Filing
- Click e-file > Income Tax Forms > View Filed Forms
- Select appropriate acknowledgment under appropriate Form and download. It may take some time to display the acknowledgement receipt.
